David Dyakov

David Dyakov was born to a Russian mother and a Bulgarian father in the Belgian town Braine-le-Comte in 1994. His exceptional talent for the guitar began to show early. With only 10 years, he began to play solo concerts and orchestra concerts.

He studied guitar with Dimitar Doichinov at the New University in Sofia and attended master classes with Konrad Ragossnig, Aniello Desiderio, David Russel and many others. At the beginning of 2011 he went to Germany to study at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy with Hubert Käppel.

David Dyakov emerged as the winner from many international competitions: the 7th International Guitar Competition Verio (Greece), the International Guitar Competition Daejong (Korea) and the International Competition Forum Gitarre Wien to name only some.

At the 19th International Koblenz Guitar Festival & Academy (2011) the jury also awarded him the 1st prize. As a part of the prize, he was able to record a CD with KSG EXAUDIO which was presented to the public in an afternoon concert at the 20thKoblenz International Guitar Festival & Academy on May 22nd 2012.

A special honor was bestowed on the young artist in 2010, when the most prominent Bulgarian radio broadcasting station selected him as “Musician of the Year”.
